Web Portfolio

I am a Drupal developer. minimalist. perfectionist.

Leah Yin Studio

This is a portfolio website for cheeky and brilliant Vancouver, BC artist Leah Yin.  With Yin’s interest in bees and bioprocesses in mind, a visual information grid of hexagons was built.  Each hexagon comes to life with the dynamic animated sorting feature of the Quicksand jQuery plugin, and was customized in Drupal 7. www.leahyin.com

Grunewald Guild

The Grünewald Guild is an ecumenical art center located in the beautiful Cascade mountains of Washington state. After celebrating its 30th anniversary earlier in 2010, the Guild community felt it had acquired some web-wrinkles and was in need of a major facelift.  The cosmetic surgery included new branding, an ubercart system, a members-only section, and a custom HTML e-newsletter that gets sent to their 3,500+ contacts. www.grunewaldguild.com

Numina Solutions

Numina Solutions is a business based in Sofia, Bulgaria that equips businessmen and women with professional skills and English-learning opportunities.  This site acts as a central connecting point for services and resources offered and sports a custom translation switcher with real content written in both English and Bulgarian.  It’s like your very own Rosetta.  Mrs Rosetta Stone. www.numinasolutions.com

Sarah Harms Photography

Sarah Harms, a sassy photographer in Atlanta, GA, wanted a site that was simple and would allow her distinctive photos to take center stage.  This portfolio incorporates a blog feature and Twitter feed to attract and maintain clients. www.sarahharmsphotography.com

More Than a Roof

True to their name, More Than a Roof is large non-profit based in Vancouver, BC that works hard to diminish homelessness by providing low income housing. Their 25th anniversary gift to themselves was a website revamp. Among its many features, the site provides a way to share documents and calendar dates to employees and board members who are logged in. www.morethanaroof.org

This is the portfolio of Shannon Newby, a mixed media artist with a mean handle of encaustic.  Newby’s ambitious sculptures and installations have plenty of room to “breathe” on the site, while giving her the option to blog, maintain a newsletter database and post announcements about upcoming exhibitions. www.newbyart.com

Bezalel (not to be confused with Beelzebub) is a small church plant based in Atlanta, GA.  The group, comprised of many young artists, needed a website to post news, pictures, blog and send out a custom e-newsletter. While their logo was already established, a new site design was implemented to simulate the always-changing Atlanta skyline. www.bezalelchurch.org

Erik is a husband, coffee roaster, typography fanatic, and proud open sourcerer.

I am fortunate to be managing Red Hat's Customer Portal Drupal 7 platform, working with a very skilled team of Drupal ninjas. The Customer Portal has won 4 consecutive awards of Best Top 10 Support Sites

I also have a degree in photography.

I enjoy working with clients to build their online identity and merge functionality, usability, and clean design. I am a patient problem solver, a loyal team player and a quick learner.

When I'm not working in front of the screen, I enjoy taking walks with my wife, frequenting jazz clubs, working on my mixology skills, eating Schnitzel, and making video art.
